To assist newcomers to Canada in securing and retaining employment in their profession by providing them the opportunity to gain practical experience in a realistic workplace, while receiving job search coaching from career specialists.

OUR COMPANY

Real Co. Canada is a practice firm run by the Toronto District School Board. We provide job search and job retention coaching in a realistic work setting, where participants can practice their professional skills. The firm is modeled after a mid-sized Toronto real estate business. Participants are able to gain real experience and practice their skills in the following
departments:

Accounting/Finance
Sales/Marketing
Human Resources
Administration
IT

OUR CONCEPT

Practice firms are virtual companies where job seekers have opportunities to apply their professional skills and perform realistic business transactions in a professional, risk-free work environment. Career Specialists provide them with job coaching and supervise their business activities. The transactions are virtually conducted worldwide between practice firms– there is no actual exchange of goods, services or funds.

Real Co. Canada is registered with the Canadian Practice Firm Network (CPFN) and conducts business with practice firms in Canada and throughout the world on the European Practice Enterprises Network (EUROPEN), a non-profit international organization.
